Disley Runners is a friendly trail running club based in Disley on the edge of the Peak District.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a run –  we meet 7.10pm at Malt Disley on Tuesdays & Thursdays for runs led by our UKA Run Leaders.

Tuesday evening we have 3 run options: 5km easy trail run, 8-10km medium trail run and a training session suitable for all abilities.  Thursday evening we meet for a 10km social trail run.  Routes are different every week and give a great opportunity to discover new trails in and around Disley.  MORE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR RUNS

You will need suitable shoes (trail shoes highly recommended unless specified by the run leader that week), a headtorch September to March inclusive and £1 subs.

All runs must be booked in advance using the Runtogether  link here:  DISLEYRUNNERS/RUNS

Please read our running safety advice here before taking part.

Please check the Facebook feed on the day to ensure the run is on at the usual time and location hasn’t changed etc.

Bit different this week, we are a little short on run leaders. Unless something changes in the next couple of hours, I am leading a 9(ish)k run with a bail out point at about 5k for those that want it, or a 5k run with an optional second loop of 4K, depending on how you want to think about it. We will be taking the pace nice and slow, but I have a plan to keep the faster runners occupied. If you want to find out what it is, you will have to come along and find out!The weather forecast shows rain rolling in at about 8, so those intending to do the full distance might want to bring suitable kit for a rainy run. No guarantees that it won’t reach us before the end of the 5k of course, but shorter runners have a better chance of getting home in the dry. ... See MoreSee Less

Slightly random question but do you know of any junior run clubs in the area? I’m having a look around but will take recommendations. A friend is moving up New Mills way. ... See MoreSee Less
